Get some colour in your life!

Colour POP Basket Competition

Continuing on from the success of our ‘Enchanted Garden’ competition in 2021, in 2022 visitors are invited to join in the fun and enter a ‘Colour POP Basket Competition’ to have a chance to win one of three $100 prizes.

Time to get the creative juices working and create your own masterpiece….we can’t wait to see what you come up with! When it comes to colourful baskets you’re only limited by your imagination and your own brand of colourful inspiration.

What will you do to make your garden special? Light it up to look like a ray of sunshine? Bring it to life by adding whimsical décor, like bells and whistles? The Queensland Garden Expo is always looking for ways to create colour in the garden and decoration could be what makes your garden stand out. What will make your garden pop? You could always use a gently tinkling wind chime, but also consider plants that make their own sound, for example plants with seed pods that rattle in the breeze. Lastly…why not look around the house to see if there are any discarded items that could have a second life in your basket of colour.

A couple of things to note…

  • Your colourful garden must include greenlife and must be extremely colourful!
  • Flora / fauna should be planted – cut flowers will likely not survive the duration of the event.

All entrants will receive a free ticket to the Queensland Garden Expo and there will be a prize of $100 for the most creative entry in each of the following categories.

  • Most Creative Garden
  • Best Plant Selection
  • Best Children’s Entry

Entries close Friday 17th June – all entries must be registered – please enter using link below.

A HUGE GOOD LUCK to all our entrants, may the creative energy flow through you and into your garden. We want to make sure the judges have their work cut out for them!

Make sure you read the Competition Entry Conditions and get your entry form in as soon as possible as numbers will be limited.
